Mark your calendars for Tuesday, May 25th at 5 pm ET for a League-wide May community call! Our monthly nationwide community call is a space where LWV members can continue deepening connections among Leagues across the country while participating and learning from one another about critical issues facing our communities. 

This upcoming Tuesday, we will hear directly from the League of Women Voters of Gunnison Valley of Coloradoabout encouraging more civil discourse from our elected representatives. They will be sharing their United We Sit; Divided We Fail letter-writing campaign, which resulted in a town hall-style meeting with their state representatives to combat hyperpolarization. They hope that this non-partisan effort will encourage members to stay involved and active, compel legislators to seek a more civil approach to each other and legislation, and deliver the message that cooperation is the goal.
