Our first annual Book Read event is tomorrow, Wednesday, April 21 at 7:00pm. We're discussing “Evicted—Poverty and Profit in the American City” by Matthew Desmond. This book won the Pulitzer Prize for General NonFiction in 2017. Desmond was a MacArthur Fellow in 2015 and was awarded his genius grant for studying entrenched poverty and racial inequality in Milwaukee.Book whisperer Lisa Blanchard will facilitate our discussion.
